The Lottery

Authors note: This essay will be about theme. The theme in this story is fear.

          There was a little town were the sun would always shine and the flowers where always bloom. In a town of many people there is fear in the town and they are scared of many things and many people too. The story of The Lottery begins.

          In the story the book has a theme of fear. It is like that because people are scared of the major. They are terrified of the major because if they do something bad the will get punished. The town’s people were scared out of their minds because of the many fearful punishments. Although people were scared they sticker with it they could of left the town but if there were caught leavening the town they would be severally punished.

          There was this box an old box that was believed to be secreted. In the box contain sheets of paper on which to die if the one with the letters were picked. Many individuals were not exited and some were. Some of the people didn’t want to have the box but the major didn’t care because what he said goes no if ands or buts. So they got to picking and there was a family that picked the paper, and then from there on only that family picked from the box. Unforchantly a girl got the paper.

          The girl picked the paper, all the town’s people thought it was good but what they don’t now is that the paper was for a person to be killed. Back in the beginning of the story they told us that the little kids were collecting rock but they didn’t know for what reason. As this girls was pick the people found out what the rocks were for, there were used to stone her. The stones are used for killing the girl and them she dies by her best friend because she has the biggest rock and then she throws it on her head

          So the little ton was not all that got it was a miseries town. That not many people have heard of and I don’t think people will ever want to. Because once you’re in you will never be able to get out without death.
